DECEPTION PASS STATE PARK— Poster Design
Tasked with designing a travel poster inspired by the iconic national park posters of the 1920s and 1930s, using Deception Pass State Park as the focus. The design features bold, simplified shapes, a limited but vivid color palette, and strong, geometric typography. I emphasized the park’s dramatic bridge and natural scenery, creating an inviting composition framed by tall pines and layered mountain silhouettes in the background.
The flattened, graphic aesthetic simplifies the landscape into a clean, timeless design that communicates the park's iconic landmark at a glance. This approach makes the poster highly recognizable, collectible, and true to the spirit of historical travel art, fulfilling both the aesthetic and storytelling goals of the project.
